We approach Riches in 5th gear on the left of the circuit. Brake, into fourth and then turn in looking well ahead round the corner. It is important to recognise that it is a double apex corner. Clip both apexes and do not run wide on the exit.
A very short straight then down to 3rd and into the tight Sear. Overtaking down the inside is a possibility but the crucial thing is to be fast and clean on the exit, using plenty of track on the wide exit.
Then floor the throttle and up through 4th and 5th. It's the fastest we achieve anywhere in this country and it leads into what can only be described as the very awkward Esses.
Brake, down to 4th into the left hand first part, but you must keep the car to the left still braking so that you can slip into third and then point the car into the tight right hand section under full power for a fast exit. So many things are happening at once and keeping the car balanced is critical. Beware high kerbs and the rough exit off road.
Up to 4th, and into the bowl-shaped Bomb Hole, hugging the inside banking of the corner and aiming for maximum speed on the run down to Coram.
What a corner! Approached fast and if you have got it right flat out. Find the apex and then let the car drift out. Take time to build your speed up here.
Then you rush down to Russell - in effect a double bend which needs a very tidy style - though always sees some desperate outbraking attempts. Try to keep the car in a straight line as you brake into the right hander, then smoothly through the sharp left hander using a touch of the smooth kerb on the inside to maximise speed onto the start-finish straight.
Smoothness is the key so that you keep off the high outer kerbs on the exit and get the power down very early for the uphill dash past the pits and a chance to glance the pit boards and instruments before it starts all over again.
